Do you have one of these?  We do.  It lives on top of the refrigerator.  Talk about a single-use appliance–this is the one (very expensive) appliance that I don’t ever want to use.

Confession:  I’ve never watched the instructional video.  I know I should.  I think it’s some sort of denial mechanism.  I can handle having the thing in my house, if I don’t have to acknowledge the chance that I might have to use it.  If I don’t know how, then I’ll never need it, right?

I know all our relatives are going to email me now to tell me I need to watch the video right away.  And I’ll tell them all that I will.  But I probably won’t.  Just sayin’ . . .
